Final Day: For the Love of Scrapbooking

Well our For the Love of Scrapbooking Sale has come to an end. On this last day I'd like to tell you about one of the newer products that we've started carrying at the store....Spellbinders. Spellbinders are a metal die cut that cuts shapes out of paper. What is a little different about Spellbinders die is that many of the dies also offer an embossing feature that can be used after you've cut out your shape.

You can also use the die as a stencil and add colour and ink to your shape once it has been cut out. These additional options make the Spellbinders a very unique die cutting system. Whether you use the shapes in your layouts or on your cards, Spellbinders are a great tool to use in your craft making.

Spellbinders also offer embossing plates very similar to the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders. One feature that I like about the Spellbinders embossing plates is that if you ink them before you emboss them, you end up with a letterpress effect. The ink transfers to your paper and the die debosses at the same time. It's a pretty neat technique that will have everyone wondering how you did it.

So for this last day of our sale, you can pick up any Spellbinders die in the store for 20% off regular price. I hope you've enjoyed our For the Love of Scrapbooking posts about some of our favourite products to use in our scrapbooking and card making.

Day 13: For the Love of Scrapbooking

There are only 2 days left to come in to the store and take advantage of the sale prices that we have offered on some fabulous products. For today's blog post like I'd like to tell you about one of my favourite Ranger products...Glossy Accents. Glossy Accents is a dimensional medium that you can use in many different ways.

It can be used as an adhesive and for this purpose it is absolutely fabulous. It holds down everything...I've even used it to fix broken ceramic ornaments around my house. If you want to add glitter to a project, I find that Glossy Accents is one of the best adhesives out there to use. You do have to be patient and let it dry but once it dries, it holds your glitter in place.

My favourite way to use my glossy accents is to add a little gloss or shine to my chipboard. Whether I've painted or inked naked chipboard OR use ready made chipboard....I love adding Glossy Accents as a top coat. It not only adds a glossy finish but it also adds some dimension. You can do this with other embellishments as well, buttons, stickers, flowers etc.

The final way that I love to use my glossy accents is to add some dimension or shine to patterned papers. If there is a patterned paper that I've picked out and I want to accent some of the images, I just trace them with my glossy accents and it just gives my paper a little extra bit of a pop.

The accents line offered by Ranger also includes a Crackle Accent which is similar to the Glossy Accents only it cracks as it drys. There is also a Sepia Accent, which gives your projects and aged look and a Matte Accent.

Come on in to the store and check out some samples of ways to use the Glossy Accents. You can also pick up any of the Ranger Accents line in the store on sale for $7.50 which is a savings of $2 a bottle. Check back tomorrow where I'll tell you about one of my newer favourite products on the last day of our For the Love of Scrapbooking Sale.

Day 12: For the Love of Scrapbooking

Well, we are getting down to the final 3 days of our sale and it's been a fun way for me to tell you about some of my favourite products. For today's post I'm going to tell you about Clearsnap Cat's Eye Ink Pads.

These are one of my favourite inks for edging my papers. Why? Because they are so inexpensive that I can buy 3 or 4 colours for the price of one large stamp pad. And the good news is that I can stamp with the Cat's Eye Ink Pads too.

They are available in a ton of colours which makes it easier for me to match it up to my papers. One of the other things I love about them is that I don't need an applicator tool to apply these to my edges. They add a nice little edge and I love the look of the inked papers on my layouts.

So for the duration of our sale, come in to the store and stock up on these great little ink pads for 2 for $5. Check back tomorrow for the second last day of our product reveals.

Day 11: For the Love of Scrapbooking

Only 3 days left after today before the end of our sale, so if you're planning on getting in to take advantage of these awesome sales....don't wait much longer. For today's blog post...I'm going to start off by saying two words...Tim Holtz. He is quite possibly one of the most amazing and unique designers in our industry. His products are awesome, as many of you know, and his creativity is unbelievable. Tim has aligned himself with some awesome manufacturerer's and has released some amazing products over the last couple of years. From Ranger ( distress inks) to Advantus (ideology embellishments) to Stamper's Anonymous (stamps), Tim has dabbled in a little bit of everything.

In our store we carry quite a lot of the Tim Holtz products. We have all of his Distress Inks, Distress Stickles, Crackle Paint, Grungeboard, tools, and his ideology embellishments. I'm happy to say we will be adding even more after this year's CHA show in Anaheim...including the 12 new Distress Ink colours.

You can check him out on You Tube and watch him demo some of his latest products. These videos are great for learning how to use some of his products and integrating them into your scrapbooking and cardmaking. During our sale, all of Tim's products that we carry in the store are 20% off regular price. That is everything except the Grungeboard...the Grungeboard is 25% off regular price. Check back tomorrow for another one of our favourite products that we have featured during our For the Love of Scrapbooking sale.

Day 10: For the Love of Scrapbooking

Today's post will be short but sweet because I'm going to tell you about Bazzill cardstock. For most scrapbookers, like myself, Bazzill is their go to cardstock. This is one product that I cannot scrapbook without.

I love the textured look I get on my layouts when I use Bazzill cardstock. I love the Bling cardstock, shaped cardstock and edged cardstock. There is nothing I don't love about Bazzill cardstock. I love that I can pretty much match any patterned paper out there with a solid cardstock from Bazzill. The colour selection and texture selection is absolutely amazing.

So up until February 14th, all the Bazzill cardstock in the store is on sale 2 for $1.00...that includes the Bling cardstock and the shaped cardstock as well. It is a perfect time to stock up your cardstock stash.
